“I Kiss You…”

Posted on September 9, 2016 by kitschierm

My four-year-old son looks like a seven-year-old. He is almost 60 lbs. and is built like a brick outhouse as they used to say in the olden days. (I think I may be keeping it G for the blog but you get the drift). He is a big boy but sometimes still acts like a four-year-old with tantrums and stubbornness. Some days, if he sleeps well all night, are quite quiet and pleasant, but others, more times than not, I find myself unleashing my crazy a bit more than I normally would reining in children during the course of the day. This happened to be one of those days. BUT, as I was walking out the door to do the errands this afternoon, he came up to me and gave me a kiss and a hug. woman_child_06-2400px

Get a tissue. I’ll hang on.

When he was done, he looked at me with all the sincerity in the world and the kindest smile on his face and said, “I kiss you when you leave so that I can love you when you are gone.”
